Niagara Windriders Meeting and Flying Dates for 2008

Our annual Spring kite building workshop will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Port Colborne Lions Club Hall, 49 Chippawa Road, Port Colborne, ON.

Our very brief Annual General Meeting will precede the workshop. Our focus is on kites and kite flying, so the business portion of the event is very short.

Our regular monthly Fly Dates are from noon to 4:30 p.m. on the last Sunday of the month - April through October.

• 16th Annual Canal Days Kite Festival - Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008
• Sunday, August 31, 2008
• Sunday, September 28, 2008
• Sunday, October 26, 2008 - Annual Hallowe'en Fall Festival Finale Fly. This event is held rain or shine. We have an alternate indoor location in case of inclement weather.

The club flying field is located at Lakeview Park at the south end of Elm Street, Port Colborne, ON. The park is located just east of the Port Colborne General Hospital and next to Sugarloaf Marina and Boat Harbour.

There are a wide variety of types of kiting events included in this schedule and we encourage you to take part in as many of them as your time permits.
