Niagara Windriders Meeting and Flying Dates for 2010

Our annual Spring kite building workshop will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Port Colborne Lions Club Hall, 49 Chippawa Road, Port Colborne, ON.

Our very brief Annual General Meeting will precede the workshop. Our focus is on kites and kite flying, so the business portion of the event is very short.

Our regular monthly Fly Dates are from noon to 4:30 p.m. on the last Sunday of the month - April through October.

• Sunday, May 30, 2010

• Sunday, July 25, 2009 - On-field meeting - final planning for Canal Days Kite Festival
• 18th Annual Canal Days Kite Festival - Sunday, Aug. 1, 2009 (Night Fly on Saturday, July 31st at dusk)
• Sunday, August 29, 2010
• Sunday, September 26, 2010
• Sunday, October 31, 2010 - Annual Hallowe'en Fall Festival Finale Fly. This event is held rain or shine. Dinner and Paper-Bag Auction of kite items to follow at the Lakeside Yacht Club Hall on Lakeshore Road.

The club flying field is located at Lakeview Park at the south end of Elm Street, Port Colborne, ON. The park is located just east of the Port Colborne General Hospital and next to Sugarloaf Marina and Boat Harbour.
