Club Banners at NWKA'S Canal Days
Kite Festival
The Niagara Windriders welcome visiting kite fliers from other clubs. We encourage you to fly with us at Lakeview Park if you are in the area on one of our flying dates.
Any person interested in learning about kites and kite flying is welcome to attend one of our regular club flying events.
The Niagara Windriders conduct periodic workshops and clinics for serious kite hobbyists. We also offer introductory workshops for adults and children upon request.
Since our members do this on a voluntary basis, scheduling and preplanning are necessary.
If you wish to pursue the possibility of having a kite workshop or presentation about kites for you group, please send an email request to our general email in-box: info@windriders.niagara.com

The Niagara Windriders Kitefliers
Association was founded in 1992. Located in the Niagara Peninsula of Southern
Ontario, Canada, the NWKA is dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of kite
flying as an artistic, scientific and sporting activity for people of all
ages.
The home flying field of the club is
Lakeview Park, Port Colborne, ON. If you are interested in learning more about
kites, please join us for one of our regular monthly club flying events held
the last Sunday of each month, April through October.
Last year, our 15th Anniversary
Canal Days Kite Festival, sponsored by INCO Ltd., saw approximately 90 kitefliers from Southern Ontario, New
York, and Ohio attend and demonstrate the best in kite
artistry and skill. Over 8,000 spectators viewed the kites and activities at the festival.
The 16th Annual Canal Days Kite Festival will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Lakeview Park in Port Colborne. We invite you to attend this very popular kite festival and experience the joy of kiting and spectacle of amazing kites in a blue sky!
